Sugar Land Surgical Turkey Trot has been voted FLS' all-time favorite race by our customers for several years running. Please register early. Join us for a great local Thanksgiving tradition...24th Annual Sugar Land Surgical Turkey Trot through beautiful Sugar Creek subdivision. The ORIGINAL Turkey Trot in the Houston area. We are expecting another record field of 1,200+ runners and walkers this year! So far, ten US states are represented! PLEASE remember and bring canned goods and running shoes for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry in Stafford to drop off in boxes in front of our store. Extended hours Wednesday night Nov. 25, til 8pm for your convenience. 8:00am Sean Scroggins Kids Mile(ages 12-and-under only). About 200 kids, including stollers. 8:30am tag-timed Five-Mile Race. There were 800 runners who raced in this event last year. Certified loop course with called splits. Fast course! This year we expect 900. 9:05am 2.8-Mile Family Walk. Over 250 take part in this casual walk portion, including strollers. NO DOGS, however. Strollers are allowed in the 2.8-Mile Family Walk ONLY. No dogs in any event for safety. There is raceday registration available starting at 7am for a slightly higher fee, in front of Finish Line Sports. Sorry, no refunds or transfer of entry once accepted. Benefits: East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Cenikor, MD Anderson Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund, and Cenacle Retreat House in Houston. You can opt to donate an extra $10 to any of these online when registering.
No Headphones or IPods at this race
Please, NO headphones or IPods at this race for safety reasons. We only have one lane in Sugar Creek and roads are OPEN to traffic in the adjoining lane. Wearing headphones or Ipods creates a serious safety hazzard in a large race. Thanks for adhereing to this USATF rule.

Arrive 45 minutes before your start time, please. Park at: 1)Comerica Bank parking garage across 59, 2)Gerland's Center near Berryhill (crowded), or 3)Sugar Creek Baptist Church at Hwy 59/ Hwy 90. This three huge lots can accommodate several thousand cars. Please DO NOT park in the Sugar Creek subdivision on the course or the Park at Sugar Creek retail near our finish line. THANKS!
Five-Mile Event Records; $500 for a new one
Male: Keith Johnson, 24:30 in 1987. Female: Monique Ecker, 26:50 in 1995. Earn a $500 check from Finish Line Sports by breaking a record and setting a new one, (if UIL or NCAA rules do not apply). Fast records last a very long time, as you can see. New record in 2009?
