Directions to the Sports Complex
From the West take Route 38 two miles East to Anderson Blvd. Turn Left (North) on Anderson Blvd and go north approximately ¾ of a mile to Gray Street. Turn Left on Gray Street and go west to the Stadium.
From the East take Route 38 approximately ¾ of a mile past the Fox River to Anderson Blvd. Turn Right (North) on Anderson Blvd and go approximately ¾ of a mile to Gray Street. Turn Left on Gray Street and go west to the Stadium.
About This Event
Run with us in historic Geneva, in what for many has become the highlight of their summer racing season. Our “Family Night” begins at 7:00 p.m. with the Viking Sunset 5K followed by the Jamie LaForce Youth Mile at 7:50 p.m. then the Junior Jog and Toddler Trot at approximately 8:10 p.m. There will be refreshments, awards, a terrific raffle and goodie bags for the younger runners. The famous Viking Sunset tie-dye race shirt is free to entrants in the 5K and the Youth Mile.
The 5K Course
The 5K course is USATF certified, starts at the Geneva HS Sports statium and winds through a scenic Geneva residential neighborhood. Every half-mile of our fast & flat course is marked, with race clocks at each mile mark, and a water station just past halfway. You will finish with a lap around the track in front of your friends and family in the Stadium bleachers.
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners as well as Instant age group awards in the following 15 age groups. 00-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 plus. Male and Female Master, Veteran, and Senior will receive a bonus gift certificate in addition to their age group award.
5K Course Records
A $25.00 gift certificate will be awarded for a new age group course record in the 5K race. Check the Fox River Trail Runners webpage at www.frtr.org for a listing of course records.
Youth Mile (Age 12 and under)
Our equally flat and fast Youth Mile will take off at 7:50PM, starting & finishing on the track, with a loop on the running path around the sports complex. Each participant will receive a special certificate and Youth Mile T-shirt. Trophies will be presented in 0-8, 9-10, & 11-12 age group
Junior Jog (Age 10 and under)
The Junior Jog is a 400-meter lap around the racetrack. Each participant will receive a #1 bib and goodie bag.

If you preregistered before July 16th, You may pick up your race packet from July 23-25 at the Dick Pond Atheletics store in St Charles, at 303 N 2nd Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. Waiver and Release
In consideration of your acceptance of my registration, I do hereby, for myself and anyone else on my behalf, waive and release the Fox River Trail Runners, Geneva All-Sports Boosters, Geneva School District 304, and all agents, affiliates, and volunteers from any and all claims for damages whatsoever created as a result of my participation in this event, including bodily injury. I attest and do herby verify that I am physically fit and I have trained sufficiently for this event, and that I am aware of the risks involved in running at this warm time of year, and intend by this release to assume full responsibility for anything that may happen to me
