Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation presents its 14th Annual Reverse Raffle benefit for Volunteers in Medicine Clinic (VIM). Partygoers will enjoy this special evening of fine dining with guest chef Daniel Orr, great music from Elements of Jazz and Sounds of Dreams, and the exciting $10,000 grand prize!
About The Event
The annual event has become one of the most anticipated events in Columbus. All proceeds from this event proceeds benefit Bartholomew County Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. The clinic serves county residents who do not have medical insurance and relies on these funds for one-fourth of its annual operating budget.

The evening begins with cocktails and socializing. After dinner, excitement builds as the reverse raffle festivities begin. Everyone wants to be the last name drawn…in a reverse raffle the last name drawn wins the $10,000 grand prize. The remainder of the evening is filled with music and mingling amongst friends.

Free valet parking will be available.
An evening filled with friends...
Nationally-renowned Chef Daniel Orr spent his childhood in Columbus, Indiana, where his parents were serious food lovers. Their lifestyle, along with his lifelong curiosity about individual ingredients, led Daniel to a career in cooking. With extensive training, Daniel has discovered and uncovered food’s true essence and flavor.

His simple, yet sophisticated creations exemplify the best of American food tempered by classic European training. He calls his cuisine “real food.” By working in exotic places and traveling throughout the world his “real food” has a truly global accent.

Couple delectable food with excellent music, and the perfect evening is created. From the roots of Southern Indiana came a 17 piece traditional big band that recently played at Mayor Greg Ballard’s Inaugural Ball at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The most amazing fact about Sounds of Dreams is that all the members are from Seymour, Columbus, and a few other surrounding counties. These 17 play from a repertoire of nearly 700 tunes and range from Glen Miller, Duke Elington, Count Basie, and Stan Kenton to name a few. Sounds of Dreams will make the after-dinner evening unforgettable.

The smaller five member Element of Jazz combo plays music ranging from Miles Davis to David Sanborn, from Sinatra to Michael Bublé, from Peggy Lee to Diana Krall will kick off the cocktail hour and play until dinner. This combo consists of saxophone, keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. Music spans from 1940’s to present day and is sure to give us a unique sound enjoyed by all.
