About This Event
Start your weekend at one of Central Illinois' premier festivals with a 10K run, 5K run or 5K recreational walk at the 34th annual ABC 10,000 5K and 10K road race on brick and hard surfaces through and north of Arcola, finish downtown Arcola. The 12th annual 5K recreational walk is all in town. Police escort, aid stations, split times. Festival t-shirts to the first 300 entrants
To ensure the safety of all runners and walkers, bicycles, roller blades, skate boards, leashed or unleashed animals will not be allowed on race course. Baby joggers or strollers are allowed for walkers only and must begin behind walkers.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in each road race and to the top three finishers in each division. Prizes will be drawn following the race at Main Street Stage during the awards presentation. You must be present to win.

CHECK IN TIME
7:00 a.m. at Kelley Moore Park Pavilion. No entrants after 7:30 a.m.
5K men and women: 14 and under, 15-20, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
10K men: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
10K women: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over.
5K co-ed recreational walk: No age divisions. No awards.
SIGNATURE REQUIRED FOR THOSE UNDER AGE 18
Signature of parent or legal guardian is required for all participants under the age of 18 years before running or walking in the Arcola Broom Corn Festival Races and Recreational Walk. Signature may be provided on day of race at registration or in advance by calling 217/621-1370
A physical examination is not required to qualify to run or walk in this event. However, all competitors participate at their own risk. If in doubt as to your physical condition to engage in an event as strenuous as a 10,000 meter race or 5,000 meter race or walk, it is strongly recommended that you seek the advice of a competent physician.

In consideration of acceptance of this entry, being of legal age, I hereby waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System, First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, Law Offices of Jerry Stout, Grove Chiropractic, Arcola Chamber of Commerce, City of Arcola, Arcola Police Department, Township of Arcola and officials of all governmental bodies of Douglas County, Illinois, their representatives and agents, of any and all right and claim for loss, damages, injuries and liability arising from harm, physical injury or mental anguish incurred, suffered, sustained or experienced by the participant due to any occurrence during the 10K race, 5K race or 5K walk, or in traveling to or from said events. In addition, full permission is granted to use any photograph, motion picture, recording or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever. I have carefully read the foregoing and voluntarily submit the same as my own free act, intending to be legally bound hereby, on behalf of myself, the named participant, our heirs, executors and administrators.
