Girls Run For Funds -5k Run/ Walk
Join us on a beautiful fall morning for a 3.1 mile run or walk through beautiful Pilcher Park. Enjoy the changing colors of leaves along this winding path through the woods.
The funds raised from this run will be used as a scholarship fund for women returning to school. This race is presented by the Council For Working Women, a division of the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce.
Waiver and Release
All participants in the CWW Scholarship Fund Just for Girls Run For Funds 5K Run/Walk are required to assume all risk of participation by signing this release and waiver of liability agreement.
The undersigned athlete (“Athlete’) on behalf of himself/herself and on behalf of the Athlete’s personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and executors, hereby fully and forever releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue The Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce, Council for Working Women, and volunteers of the CWW Scholarship Fund 5K Run/Walk ( the “Run/Walk”) and all municipal agencies whose property and/or personnel are used and all other sponsoring or co-sponsoring companies or individuals related to the Run/Walk ( collectively “Releasees”) from all liability to the Athlete and his/her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and executors, for all losses or damages and any and all claims or demands therefore, or on account of injury to the Athlete or property, or resulting in the death of the Athlete, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of all or any of the Releases or otherwise, in connection with the Athlete’s participation in the Run/Walk . The Athlete represents and warrants that he/she is in good physical condition and is able to safely participate in the Run/Walk . The Athlete is fully aware or the risks and hazards of participating in the Run/Walk and hereby elects to voluntarily participate in the Run/Walk knowing the risks of participating in the Run/Walk, including , without limitation, weather conditions including high heat and/or humidity , traffic and the condition of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by the Athlete. The Athlete hereby assumes all risks of losses, damages, or injuries that may be sustained by him/her while participating in the Run/Walk.
