RUNNING EVENTS: Bastrop State Park ALL parking for 5k/10k and kids k will be held across the street at the Rodeo ground. Parking is free. CONCERT: Bastrop Rodeo & Fairgrounds All parking for the concert will be held on rodeo grounds. Parking is free of charge.
About This Event

Come support the land and your fellow Texans. Kick ash! Run Bastrop.

This inaugural event takes runners & walkers through the beautiful & historic Bastrop State Park - commemorating the one-year anniversary of the devastating 2011 Texas wildfires - the largest in Texas history. Money raised from the 5k/10k and the concert after- party will be used to benefit 'Friends of the Lost Pines' and the 'Bastrop YMCA' to aid in their efforts to rebuild the State Park and bring much need health & wellness opportunities to the Bastrop community.

EARLY REGISTRATION:
Register early and save! Fees increase on August 21 at midnight.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:
6:00am-7:15am - Cash Only.
Event shirts must be ordered well in advance - no guarantee on shirts for race day registrants.

EVENT TIME:
The day will be warm & we want to keep you cool.
In an effort to beat the heat, we'll get things running early!
10k - 7:30am.
5k - 7:45am.
Family 1k - 8:30am
Concert - the music will play from 10am-2pm. Free to all registered run participants.

CONCERT:
Great lineup of great Texas musicians!
Even if you don't want to run, you can join us for the family-friendly benefit concert!
Performers include: Tres Womack and the Chubby Knuckle Choir, The Clayton Adams Band, Chris Allbright, Matt Gardner and friends and the Kyle Bennett Band.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP:
In Bastrop: Friday, August 31 from 2:00pm-7:00pm at Bastrop YMCA. 1112 Main St.
In Austin: Friday, August 31 from 10am-6pm AND Saturday, September 1 from 10am-4pm at Rogue Equipment. 500 East San Marcos St.

COURSE:
The route is a scenic, challenging, tree-lined loop. Hilly terrains mixed with fast, flat stretches through Bastrop State Park.
5K = one loop
10k = 2 loops

TIMING:
Both 5k and 10k will be chip-timed. USATF Certified course.

AWARDS:
Overall Male/Female finishers in each event. Overall Masters Male/Female in each event. Top three age group finishers Male/Female in each event.

PETS:
We love dogs and welcome them to the event, but no dogs are allowed on run course.

STROLLERS:
For safety reasons, no strollers are allowed on the course.

REFUNDS:
NO refunds. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason, including cancellation of event due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

I acknowledge and understand that participation in the Burning Pine 5k/10k/1k/concert activities (EVENT) involves physical activity and inherent risk of bodily injury or damage to my property. And I do hereby agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release, protect, indemnify, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue, the YMCA of Austin, the Friends of the Lost Pines, the City of Bastrop, its organizers, employees, volunteers, officers, representatives and agents, from and against any and all losses, injuries, harm, claims, and damages, including attorneys'[ fees and court costs, causes of action or suits in equity of whatsoever kind of nature, arising out of, predicated upon, or in any way resulting from particpation in the EVENT activities, other use or occupancy of the Bastrop State Park and Bastrop Rodeo Grounds facilities and equipment, or while representatives and agents, acts or omissions, including ut not limited to the EVENT's own negligence or gross negligence. I expressly assume all such dangers, risks and hazards to me and all minors in my care.
