About This Event
Come celebrate the beginning of autumn in this 5th annual event. Choose from a SPRINT TRIATHLON: 250 meter swim, 13 mile bike, 3 mile run. MID-DISTANCE TRIATHLON: 500 meter swim, 26 mile bike, 10k run. DUATHLON: 2 mile run, 13 mile bike, 2 mile run. KIDS MINI-TRI: 25 yard swim or wade, 3/4 mile mile bike, 1/4 mile run. INDIVIDUALS OR 2/3 PERSON TEAMS!!!! Course is perfect for beginners or veterans. Enjoy lots of postrace food and quality awards.
SWIM: In a small man made lake water temperature around 65 degrees. Wetsuits are recommended but not required. BIKE: Is out and back on flat, scenic, paved roads, with no hill at all. Course has very few turns and is excellent for beginners or veterans. RUN: Also is out and back on flat, paved roads with and aide station at the turnaround. The Kids race is all inside the park on a paved bike path.
Top 7 in the triathlon, both male and female will receive trophies. Top 3 in the duathlon will also receive trophies. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive Octoberfest neck medals. There are also team divisions of male, female and mixed. NOTE: If you don't win an age group medal you will receive a finisher medal.
T-shirts & Extra Garments
All entrants will receive a designer short sleeve shirt. You can also order an extra short sleeve shirt, tank top, longsleeve shirt or a sweatshirt. All Garments are 100 percent cotton and are preshrunk. Sizes are small, medium, large and extra large.
KIDS RACE: 0=5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-13 ADULTS: 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-59, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 UP. Team divisions of male, female and mixed.
Postrace Food & Results
After the race enjoy lots of postrace food such as ham, turkey, tuna and cheese sandwiches. There will also be lots of cookies, donuts, crackers and other goodies. Cold bottled water will also be available to drink along with soda and gatorade. RESULTS: Will be available after the race and be posted at www.racecenter.com, www.nwrunner.com and www.transitiontimes.com.
From the NORTH go south on I-5 and take Hwy 101 north out of Olympia. Follow to Hwy 8 and go west towards the ocean. Take the 2nd Elma exit and go left over the freeway. Turn right on Wenzelslough Road. Park is on the right. From the SOUTH take I-5 north take exit 88B (Aberdeen) Follow Hwy 12 west through Rochester, Oakville, Porter and Malone. Upon entering Elma turn left onto Hwy 8 and take the next exit. Go left over the freeway and turn right on Wenzelslough road. Park is on the right.
Packet pickup and day of race registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and goes until 10:45 a.m. The Kids race starts at 1:00 p.m. and packets can be picked up anytime until 12:45 p.m.
