Rookie Run Registration
Pre-registration for the 2013 Rookie Run will close on May 9, 2013. Day of registration will take place Saturday May 11, 2013 at on Ohio Street, north of Monument Circle.
Online Registration Fee
Signmeup has been contracted by the 500 Festival to provide this online registration service. Signmeup charges a modest transaction fee that will be revealed in the Summary of Charges prior to your credit card transaction on the payment page.
Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run
All kids ages 3-12, are invited to join us for the Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. It’s a non-competitive fun run where everyone goes away a winner. The Rookie Run, which compliments the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, is a great way for kids to stay physically fit. It takes place in downtown Indianapolis, one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian Streets.
What do you get?
All participants will receive a goodie bag when they pick up their race packets, along with a “#1” race number. After crossing the finish line, participants will receive a special Rookie Run finisher medal along with a bottle of water, just like the Mini-Marathon!

Sorry, t-shirts are NOT included in your registration fee. Rookie Run shirts are available for purchase.

Where does Rookie Run start?
Meridian and Ohio streets is the start and finish of the Rookie Run.
Chase 500 Festival Kids' Day
Before and after your race, enjoy all the fun, food and excitement at Kids’ Day. Don’t miss your chance to win one of more than 10,000 prizes by racing Mini Cars, making arts and crafts, or participating in interactive games and activities. Kids’ Day runs from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Packet Pick-Up
Participants may pick up their packets on the day of the event beginning at 11:00 a.m. Packet pick-up will take place on Ohio Street, north of Monument Circle in front of the Chase Tower.
Race Day Registration
Online registration closes on May 9, 2013. After this date, you may register the day of the event on-site.

On-site registration begins at 11:00 a.m. Ohio Street, north of Monument Circle in front of the Chase Tower. You may register up until thirty minutes prior to the start of your age group race (See estimated start times and course lengths listed below).

On-site registration (May 11): $10.00

Starting Times and Course Lengths
Ages 3: 1:00 p.m. (2-block course)
Ages 4: 1:20 p.m. (2-block course)
Ages 5: 1:40 p.m. (2-block course)
Age 6: 2:00 p.m. (1/5-mile course)
Age 7: 2:15 p.m. (1/5-mile course)
Age 8-9: 2:35 p.m. (1/3-mile course)
Age 10-12: 2:50 p.m. (1/3-mile course)

All entries are non-refundable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate.

Waiver and Release
I, as parent/guardian of participant, have read the official entry form completely and understand the policies of the event. I know that allowing my child participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not let my child participate unless they are medically able. I, as parent/guardian, assume all risks associated with my voluntary participation in this event, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including extreme temperatures and precipitation, and traffic. Knowing these facts, I, as parent/guardian, for myself, heirs, executors, administers, or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue and WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE Chase, 500 Festival Inc., and any and all sponsors affiliated with the 2013 Chase Kids’ Day and Rookie Run, the City of Indianapolis, race officials, workers or volunteers, their representatives, successors or assigns for ANY AND ALL claims of liability, whether foreseen or unforeseen, for death, personal injury, or property damage arising out of, or in the course of, my participation in this event. I further grant full permission to the 500 Festival and the above named businesses and concerns, and/or agents authorized by them, to use my child’s photographs, video tapes, motion pictures, or other record of the event for any reasonable purpose. This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s involvement or particiation in these programs as provided above, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
