About This Event
The South Haven Health System Foundation is proud to sponsor the 2013 National Blueberry Festival 5k Walk/Run and new this year, the National Blueberry Festival 10k Run. Proceeds from this event are split between the South Haven Health System Foundation and the National Blueberry Festival. The mission of the South Haven Health System Foundation is to serve those who are economically disadvantaged as well as our neighbors and our children through free health screenings, affordable healthcare, and access to professional services. The Foundation will assist in continued upgrade to the hospital’s equipment and facilities. They will also provide educational scholarships for those pursuing a degree in the field of healthcare and will support the Shoreline Wellness Center Scholarships. By doing so, the Foundation supports the mission of the hospital in improving the health and wellness of our communities.

The National Blueberry Festival 5k and 10k are designed with the racers in mind. We have reconfigured the courses to be as straight as possible while still offering scenic views of Lake Michigan, the Black River, and beautiful downtown South Haven. We invite you to join us on Saturday, August 10 for the 5k, 10k, or both!

5k Run start time: 7:45am
5k Walk start time: 7:50am
10k Run start time: 8:30am
Fruit Belt Series
The Blueberry Festival Run/Walk is proud to be a part of the "MICHIGAN FRUIT BELT SERIES". As the country relies on much of the great fruit from this area, your participation will help promote awareness of Michigan's fruit industry and its growers. The "Michigan Fruit Belt Series" highlights the importance of including fruit in your daily diet as well as exercise. Fuel your body with "The Good Stuff" . . . Michigan fruit!
