About This Event
Come celebrate Valentine's day in this 1ST annual event. Chose from a Full or Half-marathon, 10 miles, 10K (6.2 Miles), 5K (3.1 Miles) or 1 mile fun run. Walkers are OK in all events. TIME LIMIT FOR MARATHON is 5 hours if you start on time or 6 hours if you start early. Course is perfect for beginners and veterans. Enjoy lots of postrace food and quality awards. This year's marathon is USATF CERTIFIED AND CAN BE USED FOR A BOSTON MARATHON QUALIFER!!!!!
Overall winners of all races will receive trophies. All MARATHON FINISHERS will receive a trophy and a medal. 1st place in age groups in the half-marathon will receive trophies. 2nd & 3rd place will receive neck medals. Top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. NOTE: If you don't receive an age group award you will receive a finisher medal.
The marathon, half-marathon, 10 miles and 10k are out and back with a few rolling hills but nothing big. 70 percent of the course is flat. All miles are marked and the course is accurate and certified. The 5K is also out and back with one small hill at the turnaround. Aide stations every 1 1/2 miles with water, gatorade and gel/food. There will be a porta potty at mile 5, 8, 12, 14, 17 & 20. The 1 mile fun run is out and back all flat inside the park. Course is perfect for beginners or veterans.
T-shirts and & Extra Garments
All entrants receive a designer short sleeve valentine shirt. You can also order an extra short sleeve shirt, longsleeve shirt or a longsleeve sweatshirt or hooded sweatshirt. Also techical shirts are available, long sleeve or short sleeve. All garments are 100 percent cotton and are preshrunk.
From I-5 north or south take exit 88 and follow west to Rochester. Turn left on Albany street (stop sign) and follow a half mile to Swede hall on the right. ADDRESS: 18543 Albany Street, Rochester, WA 98579.
0-5, 6-10, 11-14, 15-19, 2-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 up.
Postrace Food & Indoors
After the race enjoy lots of postrace food such as hot chili or soup. There will also be turkey, ham, cheese and tuna sandwiches. Bagels, cream cheese, cookies, donuts and other goodies will also be available. Hot cider, coffee, bottled water, gatorade and soda will be available to drink after the race. Indoors: Before and after the race enjoy the warm cozy swede hall.
Packet Pickup & Results
Packet pickup starts at 8:45 a.m. and goes until 10:15 a.m. morning of the race only. RESULTS: Will be available after the race is finished and be posted at www.ontherun.com, www.racecenter.com and www.nwrunner.com. Digital photos will also be taken.
WEATHER: Can range from snow, rain, sun, fog or sunny. Not much help I know. Come dressed for all weather conditions.
