About This Event
A low-key, four loop, flat, fast, tree lined course, certified Boston qualifier, with custom shirts, finisher medals, and a complimentary picnic lunch after the event. All proceeds from this event are donated to the Marathon Challenge program which promotes running to over 5,700 local elementary school students. Last year proceeds from the event and donations from the participants raised $3,000, $1,900 in 2006, $1,322 in 2005, $2,500 in 2004, and $1,250 in 2003.
Aid Stations
There will be water, sports drink, and portacans available every 1.5 miles at each of the aid stations. There are snacks available at the start/stop aid station (every 6.5 miles).
From 59, exit Kingwood Drive, continue East on Kingwood Drive for approx. 4.5 miles. Take a left on Lake Houston Parkway (8th traffic light). Turn right on Brook Shadow Drive (approx. ¾ mile North on Lake Houston Parkway. The second stop sign on Brook Shadow Dr is Greentree Park (corner of Falling Brook and Brook Shadows).

Boston Marathon certification
The course is certified. Course number TX02112ETM
Each participant and volunteer will receive a custom designed t-shirt. Each marathon finisher will receive a finisher medal. A picnic lunch is provided after the race. There is no time limit and there is no early start because of park regulations.
Finishing results
Finishing results will be available on the website and at www.marathonguide.com. A finisher certificate will be mailed to each finisher.

Waiver and Release
All participants in the Texas Marathon assume all risk of participation in the marathon by signing the release agreement. I the undersigned athlete on behalf of myself and on behalf of my heirs, my executors, my administrators and my trustees, waive and release any and all rights and claims for any loss(es), injuries and damages including, but not limited to demands or actions for negligence, premises liability, emotional injury, intentional conduct, tort claims, and any other actions or demands of whatever nature, I have or may have against 1) The Texas Marathon, 2) its officials, agents and representatives, 3) all sponsors of the event in which I may participate whether my participation is as a contestant or as a spectator. I acknowledge that I am aware of the inherent risks involved in this event and I voluntarily assume the risks. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and I have sufficiently trained for the competition of the above-mentioned event in which I participate. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my name, and/or my picture in any account of this event for any purpose whatsoever. I have read the entry information provided for the event and certify my compliance by signing below. Athlete acknowledges that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
