About This Event
All proceeds will benefit the Texas Burn Survivor Society (TBSS), a San Antonio based non-profit organization. Their mission is to provide care, comfort, and services to the critically burned and their families. The organization works with both military and civilian burn survivors. Each summer, TBSS sponsors a free-of-charge week of summer camp for pediatric burn survivors, their siblings, and children of burn survivors. Their work with wounded warriors includes hosting family enrichment weekends, providing emergency financial assistance to families of wounded warriors, and assisting with projects that enhance physical rehabilitation. At the conclusion of the race, participants can visit with local firemen, members of the San Antonio Firefighters Motorcycle Club, and some of the wounded heroes who have been injured in service to our country. Learn more about the Texas Burn Survivor Society at texasburnsurvivors.org.
