About This Event
32st Annual 5K run and fitness walk. There are separate Women's & Men's races and lots of family friendly events including a 1 Mile Youth Race (Kids ages 7-12) and a Junior Jog for Ages 7 & under.

Voted 2012 CARA Runners' Choice Circuit Race of the Year!

No Race Day Registration.

Overall, Age Group & Clydesdale Awards. Mother-Daughter and Father-Son Team Awards. USATF Certified Courses. Part of the CARA Runners' Choice Circuit.

Technical Shirts for 5K Runners!
The first 700 5K Runners registered will receive a custom-designed technical t-shirt available in men's, women's, and youth large (New for 2013) sizes.

Cotton-poly 50/50 T-shirts for all other participants and volunteers (excluding junior jog).

Junior Jog Registration
200-meter Junior Jog for children ages 7 and under.

Registration available at packet pick-up or on race day morning (only Junior Jog). (No on-line needed registration for junior jog.)

Packet Pick-Up
Packet pick-up is available at the Competitive Foot in Oak Park, 102 N. Marion, Friday April 26th (12 noon-6:30 p.m.) or Saturday April 27th (10:30 a.m.-4 p.m.) and race morning at the RACE SITE (not the store) from 7:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. Check our web site http://race.oprc.net after March 1st for more details.

D-Tag Chip Timing

The Race That's Good For Life is using the individual D-Tag timing strip. Timing strips must be removed from the bib and secured to the shoe as described in the instructions on the tag. D-Tags are for a one time use and will not be collected at the Finish Line.

Starting Times

1 Mile Youth Race (for kids 7-12) - 8:45 a.m.

Women's 5K Race - 9:10 a.m.

5K non-competitive Fitness Walk - 9:11 a.m.(immediately after the Women's 5K start)

Men's 5K Race - 9:50 a.m.

200-Meter Junior Jog (for kids 7 and under) - 10:30 a.m.

Awards Ceremony - 11:00 a.m.

Register Early! Technical men's, women's or youth shirt guaranteed for the first 700 5K run entrants!

Volunteers are always needed (and greatly appreciated) to help on race day.

All volunteers will receive a free Race That's Good for Life 50/50 T-shirt.

I the undersigned, know that the event I am entering carries the risk of personal injury or damage. I am aware that a running event requires advance training, and I certify that I am physically fit for this event. I hereby waive and forfeit all rights I may have to file or make claims against the Oak Park Runners Club, Chicago Area Runners Association, the Village of Oak Park, any sponsoring organization, and all persons connected with this race for injuries I may suffer at this event. And I understand that no refunds can be made if the race is cancelled due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond the control of the race organizers. I understand that strollers, roller blades, headphones and dogs are not allowed in the 5k race and will abide by these guidelines. Strollers and dogs are allowed in the fitness walk.
