About This Event
Come for the race and spend the day. The races take place during the first weekend of the Coast Guard Festival, check the website for a weekend full of activities, www.ghcgfest.org.
Packet Pick Up and Late Registration
Thursday, July 27 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Gazelle Sports-Grand Rapids (3930 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids), Friday, July 28 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Tri-Cities YMCA and Saturday, July 29 from 7:00-7:30 a.m. at the Tri-Cities YMCA, 1 Y Drive in Grand Haven
Awards & Age Divisions
Overall and Masters male and female winners of the 5K and 10K events will receive trophies and Gazelle Sports’ prize packages. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in each of the following age divisions: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and over. The 1 Mile race in a non-competive run for all ages. Each participate receives a ribbon and a Fun Run goodie bag.
Both the 5K and the 10K courses are USATF-certified and begin on Harbor Drive near the Coast Guard Station. The 5K course incorporates a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the peaceful setting of Duncan Wood Park, along with the neighborhoods of Grand Haven. The event finishes on Sherman near Mulligan’s Hollow. The 10K follows most of the 5K route before splitting off on 3rd Street to Harbor Island, returning along the Grand River to cross over Harbor Drive and finish on Sherman near Mulligan’s Hollow.
Pancake Breakfast sponsored by REMAX of Grand Haven
8:00-11:00 a.m. at the Tri-Cities YMCA. All you can eat pancakes, bacon,
sausage, coffee and juice for just $4 per person or $12 for the whole family.

1 Mile Fun Run
The 1 Mile Fun Run is a non-competitive run for all ages. Each participant receives a ribbon and Fun Run Goodie Bag.
The Coast Guard Festival Race features a 5k run beginning at 8:00AM, a 10K run starting at 9:00 a.m. and a non-competitive 1 Mile Fun Run beginning at 9:05 a.m. For the safety of all runners, no baby strollers/joggers, bicycles, in-line skates or animals are allowed on the USATF-certified 5K and 10K courses.
A Family Rate is also available trhough mail-in registration forms only, available at the Tri-Cities Family YMCA.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the race. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and /or humidity, traffic and the considerations of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release (Tri-Cities Family YMCA, the City of Grand Haven, race sponsors, race consultants, etc.) and all other sponsors, their representatives
and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my
participation in this event. I grant permission to the foregoing to use any photographs, video, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
